I have been without (well, extremely limited) processed sugar for two weeks now.  I have used raw honey a few times, but there are times that I still have a craving for sugar.

My uncle is diabetic and suggested I try Truvia (a stevia-based product).  He even gave me an unopened jar.  Even though I have never used it before, I had a feeling in the back of my mind that I had heard some things about stevia that were controversial.

I have done some research and found that this article (Stevia:  Good or Bad?) speaks volumes.  I may purchase a stevia plant in the spring and try growing it in my garden, but I can guarantee that I will not be using Truvia or any other similar product.
